“Viva la Costituzione, la Costituzione è Viva – Cittadini d’Europa” project
Bitron supports European values with the “Viva la Costituzione, la Costituzione è Viva – Cittadini d’Europa” project
At the end of the educational pathway of the “Viva la Costituzione, la Costituzione è Viva – Cittadini d’Europa” project, the students of the primary schools involved, led by their teachers, participated in the “Evviva i Valori'' contest. With great creativity and curiosity, the children were called upon to transform themselves into real “values reporters”, exploring and recounting how principles such as peace, democracy, freedom and equality manifest themselves in everyday life, both at national and European level. Through articles, interviews, drawings and games, the students showed that these values are not just words, but the beating heart of our institutions and European society.
'Viva la Costituzione, la Costituzione è viva' is an Article 49 Foundation project dedicated to primary schools; in the 2023/2024 school year it was dedicated to the Constitution (on the occasion of its 75th anniversary); in the 2024/2025 school year the focus was on European institutions. The second year of the project, which has just ended, involved 134 institutions, 296 classes, 5,541 pupils and led to the selection of three particularly deserving projects, chosen within the “Evviva i Valori!” contest.
The Jury of Examiners, composed of members of the Article 49 Foundation and representatives of the institutions and supporting partners, including Bitron, met and evaluated 600 entries sent in by the 79 schools that participated in the contest (a total of 3,125 students involved). 14 projects were selected for the final stage. The 3 winners were revealed during the award ceremony on 4 June 2025 held in the Sala della Regina of the Chamber of Deputies (Piazza di Monte Citorio 1, Rome).
The educational project “Viva la Costituzione, la Costituzione è Viva - Cittadini d'Europa” was carried out by the Article 49 Foundation, in collaboration with the European Parliament and sponsored by the National Research Council, ASVIS, Symbola, and the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont Region, Lombardy Region, Emilia-Romagna Region, Marche Region, Lazio Region, Campania Region, Basilicata Region, Calabria Region, Sardinia Region.
